Terms & Conditions

These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of UniGO, a student carpooling application operated by an individual based in Pakistan. By accessing or using UniGO, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.

1. Eligibility

UniGO is available only to students of recognized Pakistani universities. To use UniGO you must:

• Be at least 18 years old.
• Be a currently enrolled student with a valid university email address ending in .edu.pk.
• Complete our verification process.
• Provide accurate and truthful information.

2. Your account and responsibilities

• Provide accurate, truthful, and up-to-date information.
• Keep your login credentials secure and do not share your account.
• Complete identity and, for drivers, driver verification honestly.
• Treat other users with respect and behave appropriately.
• Do not use UniGO for any unlawful or unauthorized purpose.

3. Nature of the service

UniGO is a platform that connects students for carpooling and cost-sharing. It is not a taxi, ride-hailing, or commercial transport service. Drivers are fellow students sharing a ride, not professional drivers. Fares are cost-sharing estimates only; UniGO does not process payments and does not guarantee the availability, quality, or safety of any ride.

4. Drivers

• Maintain a valid driving license and vehicle registration, and keep your vehicle in safe, roadworthy condition.
• Obey all traffic laws.
• Provide accurate pickup and drop-off details and communicate promptly.
• Do not cancel confirmed rides without reasonable notice.

5. Passengers

• Be at the agreed pickup point on time.
• Respect the driver and their vehicle and follow reasonable safety instructions.
• Do not bring illegal or prohibited items.
• Pay the agreed cost-sharing amount directly to the driver.

6. Pink Mode (women-only rides)

Pink Mode allows female users to offer or join women-only rides for added safety. Misrepresenting your gender to access Pink Mode is a serious violation of these Terms and may result in immediate suspension.

7. Prohibited conduct

• Harass, threaten, abuse, or harm other users.
• Share offensive, illegal, or inappropriate content.
• Impersonate others or create fake or duplicate accounts.
• Attempt to disrupt, hack, or misuse the service or its security.
• Use the platform for commercial purposes or to provide a paid transport service.

8. Payments between users

UniGO does not handle payments. Any cost-sharing is arranged and settled directly between the rider and driver. UniGO is not responsible for payments, refunds, or disputes over money.

9. Safety

UniGO provides verification and safety features, but we cannot guarantee the conduct of any user or the safety of any ride. Always use your judgment, share your trip details with someone you trust, and in an emergency contact local emergency services. Report suspicious activity to us promptly.

10. Privacy

Your use of UniGO is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which explains how we handle your data.

11. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, UniGO and its operator are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or for the acts or omissions of any user, arising out of or relating to your use of the service. UniGO is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis.

12. Suspension and termination

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, compromise safety, or engage in fraud or illegal activity, and we may report illegal activity to the authorities.

13. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes through the app or by email. Continued use after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.

14. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, and any disputes are subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of Pakistan.
